The problem: How to capture thirty-six images in four days of shooting on a remote barrier island with limited resources. North Carolina's Outer Banks are beautiful, unique and remote. There are no producers, production assistants, RV's, models or stylists on the islands, so everyone and everything had to be brought in from somewhere else. Gary John did the scouting himself, then we arranged travel and a "dream schedule" that had to be flexible enough to allow for changing light. After one day of fog that had us scrambling, we were on track for the rest of the shoot. We wrapped early Friday evening and celebrated with a shore dinner. The client is happy and we're pleased with the work, as well. |
